2021 IDDBA show cancelled
Trade show cancellation – Announcement from https://www.iddba.org/iddba-show/about/iddba2021
February 26, 2021
Not quite a year ago, I found myself struggling to find the right words to announce for the first time in IDDBA’s long history, the cancellation of our event. The enormity of the global COVID-19 pandemic impacts had yet to be realized. As the months ticked by, we all experienced the heartache of having family and friends fall ill or even the loss of life to this virus. Every aspect of our lives and businesses was disrupted. All while securing supply chains, opening brick and mortar stores, driving e-commerce innovation at rapid speed and even providing testing and vaccine site solutions…the people throughout our industry became recognized as heroes in the continued effort to feed body and spirit during these challenging times. The IDDBA staff has worked hard to provide resources, data and support while being highly optimistic and planning to bring our community together for IDDBA 2021, June 6-8 in Houston, TX.
Today, I share with you that the difficult decision has been made to cancel IDDBA 2021. We have continually monitored the ever-changing environment. With many factors out of our control, cancellation was clearly the most responsible outcome. The continued health and wellness of our members and of all those involved in our show remains top priority.
On behalf of the entire IDDBA staff and our board of directors, thank you for your continued support of our mission. We look forward to the day we can bring our community together safely. For those of you who have planned to exhibit, your exhibit space fees can be used to reserve your space for IDDBA 2022 or be refunded. We will continue to provide information in the coming days and weeks. Please reach out to our staff, visit iddba.org, the IDDBA Community forum and our social channels for more info.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Stay safe, stay healthy.
Whitney Atkins
Vice President of Marketing, IDDBA
